Step 1: Create an Org-Wide Email Address

- Go to Setup
- Search for Organization- Wide Email Addresses

- Click Add

- Enter the email address used for notifications
- Verify the email address
- Allow access to all profiles

- Save
(This org-wide email address will be used to send email notifications that convert into SMS replies.)
Step 2: Create an Email Service in Salesforce #

- Go to Setup → Email Services
- Click New Email Service

- Enter:
- Email Service Name
- Apex Class: Inbound Email Handler

- Save the email service
Step 3: Configure Custom Settings for Email Notifications #
- Go to Setup → Custom Settings
- Find Email Notifications
- Click Manage

- Add a new record with:
- To Email Address
- Org-Wide Email Address
- Inbound Email Address

- Save
Step 4: Test Incoming Email to SMS #
- Send a test email to the inbound email address
- Reply to the email notification
- Salesforce processes the reply using the inbound email handler

Step 5: Reply to Email to Send SMS from Salesforce #
- When you reply to the email:
- The reply is captured by Email Services
- The message is converted into an SMS
- SMS is sent to the related Contact or Lead
Step 6: Verify SMS in Salesforce #
- Open the Contact or Lead record
- Navigate to:
- Message Blink Chat Component
- Message object
- View the SMS message logged inside Salesforce
